We met while working in a hotel, of course. We are delighted to have been running Hotel Rigi Kaltbad together since October 2013. Every day we do our best to create a friendly atmosphere, for our guests as well as our staff. Our daughter Emily completes our small family.

Alexander

Born in the Allgäu region of Germany, Alexander joined us at Rigi after training to be a hospitality business economist. He is responsible for organising seminars and banquets. Since January 2018, he has also been supporting us as an assistant manager.

Oli

Oli

Aside from a brief stint at Lake Biel, Oli has been working for the Rigi hotel industry and Hotel Rigi Kaltbad since 2004. For him, Rigi is the most beautiful place in the world. As the manager of our restaurants and the wine cellar, he'll be happy to advise you with his infectious knowledge and passion.

Maria

Maria

Maria is our most senior member of staff. Born in Portugal, she has been working with us since 1999. Having started off as a nanny, today she is responsible for making sure the guest rooms are up to scratch.

Andrea

Andrea

Andrea met her childhood sweetheart Oli in the mountains in 2012. She started off in our restaurant then, having trained as an administrator, she moved to our reception desk. She and her husband love travelling to faraway countries and trying out top hotels.

Joaquim

Joaquim

Joaquim is our handyman extraordinaire. He trained as a carpenter with his father in Portugal, which has stood him in good stead in his day-to-day work. Having taken on the two-year renovation almost single-handedly, he knows every screw and every cable. His wife Maria introduced him to Rigi in the year 2000 and they've never looked back.

Marcus

Marcus

Having started out as a sous chef in August 2015, he has been responsible for the kitchen's culinary variations since 2018.

Marcus, from Thuringia, known as the "Green Heart of Germany", is a chef with all his heart and soul who delights in taking simple products and transforming them into something quite exquisite.
