To get to us

Rigi Kaltbad is a small, car-free mountain village in central Switzerland with a village shop, minigolf and ski lift, positioned along the Kaltbad – Scheidegg panoramic hiking trail.

To get to us, you can take the cable car from Weggis (10 minutes) or Vitznau (25 minutes) or Europe's first rack railway from Goldau (1 hour). That's how you travel to car-free Rigi Kaltbad at 1450 m above sea level.

Arrival via Weggis

Weggis is easily accessible by car. It is not the best option if you are travelling by public transport, as the cable car station is a 15-minute walk from the pier and bus station.

Arrival via Vitznau

Vitznau station can be found on Lake Lucerne, which makes it the perfect location for combining travelling by boat with the Rigi mountain experience.

Arrival via Goldau

On arrival at the Arth-Goldau Railway station, follow the signposts for approx. 350 m along the footpath to the Eichmatt valley station to take the Rigi train (changeover takes approx. 7 minutes). At Rigi Staffel you will need to change and take the train to Rigi Kaltbad. So this is not the simplest route.
